Sanctuary Scholarship Award 2024/25

The University of Salford offers a tuition fee waiver and limited additional financial support to assist with study and travel expenses, to four prospective students per year who are:
• seeking asylum in the UK, or a dependent or partner of someone seeking asylum
• seeking asylum in the UK, or a dependent or partner of someone seeking asylum who has been granted Discretionary Leave to Remain or some other form of temporary status
• from another forced migrant background

Please note that the funding is only guaranteed for three year UG degree programmes, this includes NHS & Social Work courses for 2024/25. We cannot however fund courses with self funding elements (e.g. 'with Pilot Studies') You must have an offer from the University via UCAS for a course beginning in September 2024. We cannot consider your application without this.

Please note, we will be prioritising applicants that live in the Greater Manchester area, or are able to prove that they have somewhere in the Greater Manchester area to live, or those that are a Care Leaver supported by a Local Authority.
